Our Hard Red Fife Wheat Berries are fresh, and family-farm raised. All the wheat that we clean, and bag is raised by us, so we know exactly what goes into each berry. We plant the berries in early spring and they grow in the clean high mountains of Delta, Utah.

The buckets are food grade quality and sealed with oxygen packets. These are great if you plan on storing your wheat. When stored in a cool, dry place, the wheat will remain good for many years.

Berries great, little husk, great price. Will order more from Dave's when ready.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 16-yr-old daughter who has become very good at baking, and thoroughly enjoys it. We have not used any of the products we purchased yet, but if the product quality is as good as the shipping service, she is in for a real treat!! The order was shipped within 24 hours of placing it and arrived at our house within a couple of days. Well-packaged and protected and I’m excited to sample the products my daughter will be making!!
This wheat is fairly clean with little chaffe. The smell is sweet and pleasant with hints of berries. It has a sweet, nutty flavor. I have found that it's best for pancakes, muffins, and even as a cereal. I find it difficult to work with as a dough. It doesn't behave as though it's glutinous even after double milling, so it doesn't work well as a pizza dough, but I was able to make it work. It makes a good loaf of bread, however it's a bit more prone to crumbling when slicing. I would suggest mixing in some white flour to make it more manageable.
I received my order on time. I baked already freshly grounded wheat sourdough bread. It’s amazing!
I'm loving there texture and flavor. My bread rises beautiful, it's so soft and flavorful. We've even boiled them for cereals and soups.
